Fees for research are charged on a time basis - an hourly rate plus expenses.
Expenses are charged to cover travel costs to repositories, copy charges, certificate costs and in some instances admission costs to record offices and archives.
RESEARCH FEES COMMENCE AT £18 PER HOUR
A minimum fee will apply to some elements of research
OBTAINING CERTIFICATES AND WILLS
Set charges are made for the supply of birth, marriage & death certificates, currently £9.00 where a full reference is supplied. Index searches attract an additional charge. The fee for obtaining post 1858 wills is £12.50.

FULL FAMILY HISTORIES
Researching a full family history is usually undertaken on a fee instalment basis as it is not really possible to provide specific costings. Usually an instalment of £100 or £150 is agreed and at the end of each phase of research a fully documented report is provided together with suggestions of how to proceed further based upon findings to date.
HOW TO PAY FOR RESEARCH
Agreed fees and expenses will be required in advance of research being conducted and must accompany written instructions to proceed with research.
Payment is accepted by:
British currency cheque
Credit Card using "PayPal" - an internet secure pay site. Use of PayPal is subject to a minimum fee payment of £5.00. PayPal payments are not accepted for fees under £40
Local currency cheques from within the European Community, USA, Canada, Australia & New Zealand but are subject to a currency conversion charge. British Currency Bank drafts drawn by foreign banks with English clearing facilities are the preferred option.
